Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to transform our daily lives. AI use is increasing across many industries, and is changing how people work. While many of these transformations are exciting, they also pose new challenges, and new areas of risk for governments. The scope of AI risk goes beyond the technology itself, to considerations including ethics and people, regulation, operations and cost.
This will include an overview of national regulatory responses globally and the benefits and challenges each of these may present. The workshop has been designed to ensure that participants take away actions and strategies appropriate to the needs of their role and their agency within government.
